Townsville Whale Watching Tour

An extraordinary opportunity to see the gentle giants of the sea, the waters surrounding Townsville, Magnetic Island and The Palm Island Group come alive with the annual migration of the majestic Humpback Whale.

Enjoy scenery changes as you travel at a relaxing pace aboard the comfortable and charismatic timber vessel Kalinda.

These amazing mammals love playing in the warm waters of the Great Barrier Reef and migrate every year to feed, mate and give birth before returning south with their calves.

Passing 23 different bays of Magnetic Island you may also encounter dolphins, seabirds, dugong, turtle from one of the two viewing decks.

Lunch will be served in the sheltered waters of Horseshoe Bay, Magnetic Island, prior to venturing wide in search of the migrating Humpback whales before returning to the marina to disembark by 3.30pm.
